Lulu in the Hajar Mountains, Oman. [Part One]

Ben was going to Oman but Zadie had other plans. And then he added he was also going to Burma in February. How about giving him custody of Lulu? One, two, three, done. After taking Ada to Tunisia, Ben is back on the blog. Welcome to Oman!

Bialystok, Poland.

In late November, I was able to host Zadie in my city. It is an experience I would recommend to everybody. The project is truly outstanding and I love having been able to become a part of it. She was like a bright spark in the depressing beginning of fall. Walks with her were lovely, and together we visited the biggest landmarks of Bialystok.

I wanted to thank Adeline for having me join Zadie's adventure. I already envy that little doll for the possibilities she has. I wish you safe travelling, dear Z. Say hi to the world from me! :)

We went in & around the Branicki Palace for about a dozen of times, and Zadie definitely loved that. My friend helped with holding her, since Zadie is a companion so light I was afraid the wind would take her away. Oh and days can get windy around nowadays!"

Helsinki, Finland. [Part One]

Hosting Zadie in Helsinki has been lovely; she has been a bright and light companion and I have become very fond of her!

Zadie and I have been to some of my favourite places around town; on a beautiful sunny afternoon we strolled around the Winter Garden (Talvipuutarha) and by the Töölö bay (Töölönlahti), on a Saturday morning we visited the Market Square (Kauppatori) and the Market Hall (Kauppahalli) then walked around the wonderful neighborhood of Kruununhaka. Just like every tourist, Zadie has posed in front of the Helsinki Cathedral (Tuomiokirkko), where she has met a lovely girl who agreed to be photographed with her. Whenever we went, Zadie got a lot of attention; an old Finnish man sitting alone by the sea asked me, in English, "What's the name of the yellow guy?" and I told him her name and her story. Zadie and I have also been to the forest, because Finnish forests are beautiful.

With Zadie I have learnt to focus on details and look at things from a different perspective, also "photographically speaking". Together we have taken two rolls of film and here you can see a selection of my favourite shots.

Thank you for your company, dear Zadie! I hope you have enjoyed Helsinki and that you will be back here someday - perhaps during the summer?
